18 Budget Kitchen Makeover Ideas

Hi everyone! I’m glad to be back. We had a little impromptu trip this past weekend and enjoyed being unplugged for a few days. I’ll show you some pics from our adventures this week. But today I wanted to show you 18 amazing kitchen makeover ideas that I found!

DIY Painted Coral Vanity

Hi guys hope you had a good weekend! The weather in Texas was gorgeous!! I was able to finally snap some pictures of our new master bathroom, and the coral painted vanity! I just love it!! The pop of color in there is so fun, and not overwhelming since I went neutral with the grey paint on the walls. Now come say hello to Coral Beauty.

I Painted Our Bathroom!

I’m slowly but surely getting rid of the beige walls that are everywhere in our home, and I’ve pretty much succeeded in several of the rooms! I guess the only beige rooms left now are the bathrooms, and the upstairs hallway/catwalk. I haven’t done anything to our bathrooms until recently, and I finally painted ours!

Surprise! I Redid Our Master Bedroom Again! {Navy and Coral Bedroom}

Yes you read that right. Let me tell you one more time in case you missed it…but I redid our bedroom again!! This makes #4 I think? There wasn’t anything wrong with the old room, but it was just lacking. Lacking life, lacking coziness, and lacking personality. I like the word lack today apparently. But once we got in the new upholstered bed, everything was just grey. Grey I love, but the grey walls, grey bed and grey curtains were just too much together. So now, here is a room I love. Our new navy and coral bedroom!

The Next Project…

Hope you all had a great Easter! I wanted to fill you in on what’s going on in this brain of mine. You see, I have a little problem of starting projects and not finishing them. Well I finish them up until the last final details sometimes (like ummm, the nursery!) and then start something new. So last week in my never-ending wheel-spinnin’ brain, I decided I wanted to do something. People are always painting their furniture and such different colors, so instead of white or black which is safe, I’m going to use this color…

How To Paint Your Cabinets Like The Pros, and Get the Grain Out!

Ok guys, first of all I need to thank you all SO much for all of the love on the kitchen makeover post. I truly appreciate each and every one of you who have commented, shared, and emailed me! I just love it so much. :) And I have already had several of you ask me about the paint on our cabinets, like how my painter got this amazing finish on our very heavily grained oak cabinets. I am going to do my best to share his professional secrets with you all today!

The Moment You’ve Been Waiting For…Our White Kitchen Makeover Reveal!!

Well today’s the day! Finally. We have our dreamy new white kitchen and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about it. I guess it’s been about 4 years now that I’ve wanted to do this, so to be able to write to you all that it’s really done, just blows me away. Fair warning though, this post will be picture heavy but it deserves it. And here it is.

Making The Most Of Your Space: Our New Kitchen Built-In Desk!

Hey everyone! Excited to be back talking about part of the kitchen makeover today. Besides the new amazing countertops/quartz sink and the cabinet hardware which I’ve shown you all, there is something else cool to show you. And this could easily be a DIY project for you too. I just lucked out and had the guys who were doing the countertops do this too and knock it out in one shot. And I’m so thrilled we have a desk area in the kitchen now!!

I Know I’m a Fraud, But I Have a Good Reason.

Let me explain something. I’ve been talking about white kitchens for ohhh about 3 years now. First I was going to paint my cabinets, then I wasn’t, then I was, and on and on. I know, I’m annoying. So back to be being a fraud…

Before They Were Bloggers…Guess These DIY Faces Contest!

Let’s take a ride in that DeLorean parked outside and go back in time. Back to a time before there was Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. Before chevrons, mercury glass and ombré were hot. And most importantly, before there were blogs!

Kitchen Command Centers: Do You Really Use Them?

I’ve been seeing a lot of gorgeous kitchen command centers lately and it got me thinking…that looks AMAZING, but do they always stay that nice and organized and do you really use those fancy calendar systems?  I know myself, know my family, and know that it just wouldn’t work. I would not stay on top of that sort of thing. I write my notes on sticky notes for goodness sakes and paste them all over the computer monitor. BUT…

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
