Homemade Big Sister T-Shirts

Oh my gosh I am so excited to show you this today.  You’re going to die from the cuteness!  As you all know and are probably sick of me talking about, I’m having a baby in about, ohhhh, 17 days (Oh.My.Gosh!), and I wanted my daughter to have some cute custom big sister shirts for each day we’ll be at… View Post

Living Room Rug

Our New Living Room Rug!

Hey y’all, hope you had a great weekend!  I did some painting, shopping, had my baby shower, and celebrated Father’s Day so I’m pooped!  But everything was great. :)  I know you all have been on pins and needles (not really) to see which rug I ended up choosing for our living room, and today I get to finally show… View Post

The Kitchen Backsplash Makeover Reveal!

Yayyy, the kitchen backsplash is done and I’m so excited to show you all today!  Changing out the backsplash made a huge difference in our kitchen and I’m so happy.  Bye bye beige on beige backsplash and floor, and hello new brighter subway tile! Yes, that’s just a little peek. I have to show you the before pictures first.  That… View Post

The Laundry Room Makeover!

Hey everyone, hope you had a great weekend!  I was able to finish up some painting and snap some shots of the laundry room finally, and am so excited to show you the room now!  It’s come a long way that’s for sure. :)  And now, here’s the new orange and aqua laundry room! The Backsplash is Coming Down!

As if I didn’t have enough projects and other things going on, I’ve taken on another one…in our kitchen…and it’s our backsplash! Oh wait, I’m sure you got that part from the post title.  But yes it’s true, I’m on the crazy train.  Wanna join me? :) How could I resist this project though when The Home Depot reached out… View Post

And It Works! {An $8 Chandelier Makeover}

I am soooo happy the chandelier I bought at the thrift store works!  Even though a small headache occurred when we took down the florescent lighting, the electrician already came and installed the electrical box and our laundry room (which is still undergoing a makeover) is now sporting a lovely “new” aqua chandelier! *UPDATE: See Laundry Room Makeover Here* Doesn’t… View Post

Why Can’t Things Ever Be Easy?

Every single time I set out to do a “little” project, somehow it doesn’t end up being so little.  It’s annoying.  We got the florescent light down in the laundry room so I could put up my new chandy, and we were left with this. If you notice it is just wires up there hanging, and no electrical box.  The… View Post

Wash and Dry Sign, and a Special Deal!

Hey guys!! I’m so happy to be back home from SNAP Conference, although I had the BEST time!!  I can’t wait to share my recap with you all soon.  But today I’m going to show you all a little sign I made for our laundry room that I love!  And I made it with the Silhouette Cameo of course! :)… View Post

Orange It Is!

I finally did start the laundry room redo this week, and orange was the winning color. I know it probably looks scary in the can but don’t you worry. It sure looks pretty on the walls!  And let me tell you, our crazy size laundry room is not easy for a pregnant person to paint.  Squatting under the stairs and… View Post

The Best Trick/Tool to Hang Stuff on Drywall and Sheetrock

If you hate using screws and anchors to hang up stuff, then you are going to like this.  A while back my Dad told me about these little doohickey’s when I needed help hanging some mirrors.  And I’ve been in love with them ever since. These are called gorilla hooks or monkey hooks, I’ve seen both names. And they are… View Post

The Dresser That Was Meant To Be

Have you ever been so excited you found that perfect piece of furniture for your home?  Well I am, and I found mine while out garage sale-ing.  My mom’s area had a neighborhood-wide garage sale a few weeks ago and I was not going to miss it.  I have been on the hunt for a bigger piece of furniture to… View Post

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
