Holy moly did you see that post title? Did it sink in? An interview. With Genevieve Gorder!! Oh my. So yes, I was so fortunate to have a little time last week to chat with her on the phone. I KNOW. I died a little. She is a superstar, and my favorite designer ever, so it was a little nutso to get to speak with her, but jumped at the opportunity.
Woohoo! I am SO excited to finally share this space with you all! Funny thing is though, is that I’ve never really mentioned I was creating a mudroom. Well, I sort of have a long time ago, but nothing detailed. So surprise, you get a full reveal instead of just snippets. :) I did however mention that I had a striping fail (not to be confused with stripping), and this was the little hallway that I was doing the stripes on. Another funny thing is that you’ve never seen this hallway ever on my blog! You’ll see why soon. Until then, here is the mudroom makeover done under $100, and with the striped wall!
Hey all! I wanted to do a post about 5 different ways you can decorate for Fall and give you a few tips and ideas since it might seem like a daunting task. With as many styles as I like, I’ve had several different looks each year. And often times I’ll do different styles in different areas of our home just so I have a variety. There are just too many pretty things to choose from this time of year so it’s easy to be indecisive!
It’s probably no surprise I love to shop. I love to redecorate and look for new things for our home since I have a tendency to grow tired of something probably quicker than most people. Hi everyone hope you had a nice weekend! I have been a little gold happy lately. I just can’t help myself. It makes me, well…happy. And we’ve had this little side table in our living room for forever now, and it was pretty beat up. And not my style any longer. So I went gold-happy on it too and made it a very easy DIY gold metallic table!
Remember last week when I talked about decorating with large vases and accessories? Those large vases really make a statement, and in that post I mentioned that I had just gotten one. I’d call it my first big statement piece as far as accessories go. But anyway, I did some simple Fall decorating and created a little vignette on our entryway table/dresser using said new large vase, and here she is.

First I have to say thank you all for the sweet sweet comments on my smile makeover post! Whenever you browse around the pretty magazines, one thing you’ll always pretty much notice is a large oversized vase. And if the vase isn’t oversized, the flowers coming out of it will be. I’ve been having a great time with my family that’s visiting this week, and today is also my birthday so it’s good to celebrate it with them. :) But ever since we did the blog redesign a few months ago, I didn’t have the project galleries up but I’m happy to say that now they are up and running!
Hey guys! Today’s a happy day since my Alabama family is coming into town and staying a week! I’ve been crazy busy like a mad woman getting everything cleaned up and ready. And the outdoor area wasn’t left behind either. You all know this summer I’ve been creating different WoCave’s, or places that I feel inspired and empowered. To me, that also means places that I can relax and chill. So for this particular WoCave mission I have some new outdoor patio additions to get me to that happy place. :)
Hey everyone hope you had a great weekend! We actually had a slight front come through giving us some gorgeous weather! Today I’m excited to show you all our little office in the bedroom. Remember I had mentioned this before last year and how we needed one and even wrote a post on pretty ways to have a desk in your bedroom. I am all for utilizing every inch of your home for whatever purpose you need it to serve. And since many homes don’t have a dedicated office room or an extra room to spare, it’s completely fine to make a little nook in your bedroom, which is exactly what I did.
