Hi everyone hope you all had a great weekend. Today I’m going to give you a recap of my shopping trip last week, and also fill you in on a little ghost story about one of the antique stores we went to. Because everyone’s Monday morning should start out with a good ghost story right?
Sofia The First Party
Happy Friday friends! It’s been a crazy summer full of birthdays and we just finished up Emma’s 4th birthday party last weekend. She is really into Sofia the First right now (a new princess) so she wanted a Sofia party. I was worried about topping last years party because Ms. Foofa herself came to her Gabba party, but I didn’t want to pay for a character again this year. So, I was hoping by getting Emma the princess Sofia dress would suffice, and it did. Whew!
For the party, we used a lot of purples, golds, and white and I thought it came out really pretty.

Another Place to Shop For Home Accessories
I know you all just don’t have enough resources for places to shop when it comes to your home (said in my sarcastic voice), so I’m here today to share with you all another great online store for home accessories, DecoraUSA.
A Not Too Pinteresty Vintage Shabby Chic Ballerina Party
Remember when I wrote a few weeks ago about my thoughts on Pinterest? Well, I really tried to not go overboard for Ellie’s 1st birthday party and I think I succeeded! I had a vision of a plethora of different things for a theme, so I’m calling hers a vintage shabby chic ballerina tutu and pink party. How’s that? While not going overboard, the dessert table was still very pretty I thought.
Baby Girl Nursery Reveal!
Ahhh finally!! I’m SO excited to show you all our little girl’s nursery reveal today! I think this has to be one of my most favorite rooms I’ve completed to date. As you might remember, I decided to go a whole other direction in this room a while back. I finally had a clear vision of the perfect smokey grey paint, paired with soft pale pinks, whites, and touches of gold throughout. And that’s exactly what the end result came to be.
Well This Is A Surreal Moment…I’m Published! In a Real Magazine!

I’m here today to debunk those silly myths because they really are possible. How so you ask? Well, because I am in a real magazine!! And not just any ole magazine. It’s Better Homes and Gardens’ Kitchens + Bath Makeovers magazine!!!

Nursery Update: The Prettiest Monogram Ever
Hey guys! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted about the nursery. I know I know. I won’t even list excuses but I can say that the full room reveal will be written about before she is walking and toddling around okay? Hold me to it. Even though the room has been technically “done” for quite some time, there were a few final finishing touches I needed. And one is this gorgeous monogram I got from Southern Nest. Oh my heavens it’s so pretty!!
A Happy 3 Years and a Look Back
First off happy Memorial Day everyone! Last week marked my blogiversary of 3 years! Crazy how time flies and how there is so much work still left to be done to our home. You’d think that after writing about it for 3 years now that I’d run out of stuff to talk about and there’d be nothing left to do. So not true. These three years of blogging have been truly amazing. I am beyond blessed and don’t take any single day for granted. But let’s talk about how my style has changed for a sec…
