New Living Room Seating Area!

Hello friends I hope you all had a great weekend. We finally had a cool front in Texas! Today I’m so thrilled to show you all our new living room seating arrangement today! I’ve been itching to do something different in our living room since we only have brown leather furniture in there (which was bought pre-blog days), and we have always needed more seating in there, but more importantly, something to break up all of that leather.

Happy Friday friends I hope you’ve had a good week! I have talked about sleeping on the blog a few times already. I love to sleep. Probably more than most people. I take naps whenever I can and that’s pretty frequently. What Life Is Like With New Lights

I wanted to update you all with how our life has changed with new lights. Really. Might sound silly but I promise you it’s the truth. *Spoiler-giveaway at the bottom of post* About a month ago I showed you all where we installed a Lutron Maestro Occupancy Sensor dimmer switch in our hallway, which is now a cool striped mudroom! I loved it then and living with it a month or so, I love it even more.

I know I’ve been talking about Fall since the beginning of the month, soooo, you know I am. :) This year for the Fall mantel I decided I was really digging textures and the rustic look, so that’s how the mantel ended up. Woohoo! I am SO excited to finally share this space with you all! Funny thing is though, is that I’ve never really mentioned I was creating a mudroom. Well, I sort of have a long time ago, but nothing detailed. With as many styles as I like, I’ve had several different looks each year. And often times I’ll do different styles in different areas of our home just so I have a variety. There are just too many pretty things to choose from this time of year so it’s easy to be indecisive!

My Habit | Shopping

It’s probably no surprise I love to shop. I love to redecorate and look for new things for our home since I have a tendency to grow tired of something probably quicker than most people. And since shopping behind your computer monitor is even better, that’s when I got happy about a new flash sale site on Amazon called MyHabit. Amazon is amazing on its own, so I just assumed MyHabit would be amazing and it is! And that’s why I wanted to let you all know about it because we all love a good deal.

Happy Wednesday! Have you ever given your home a grade, or kept score on what all projects need to get done? You know, the not-so-fun projects, but the ones that are a necessity to keep your home in 1 piece and running smoothly? Yea, those. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the best at it. One reason being is because our home was the basic builder brand new home when we moved in. It’s hard to believe we’ve been here 5 years already! So I’ve kind of taken that for granted assuming all is well. Yes, I’m intelligent.
