Little did you all know I have been working on a bathroom makeover over here! I’ve had a lot of things going on actually. And on overload. But that’s a good thing right? Well anyway, I don’t think I’ve ever even shown you all this bathroom. It’s the powder bathroom (that is by the mudroom) that was still under the curse of builder beige.
Anyway, I am going to show you a sneak peek of the bathroom makeover now, and on Monday you will see this room in it’s entirety with plenty of before and afters and I’m so excited about it!

I am sure most of you are not on the internets today as it’s the day before Christmas Eve, but I’m throwing up a quick post anyway, and to wish you all a merry Christmas! We had some family pictures taken back in November and I wanted to show you a few.

Here’s a snippet of what’s to come.
I really did have a bright idea. And an original one (at least that I know of) and it really just hit me one day so I went for it! I love how it turned out too since I typically don’t decorate my hutch in the office much. I knew I wanted to do something in there, and UPS has been visiting here ummm, quite a bit…..and I am sure you can see where this is going if I have a lot of empty boxes laying around right?
So here is what I came up with for our holiday hutch.
Oh happy day y’all I get to show you all our Christmas tree for this year! I had dreams this year of having an all white tree, but it couldn’t be just white…it needed to be white and flocked. Which isn’t the easiest to find. Last year we did get a real tree, and it was flocked and it was beautiful too. But I just wanted all white this year, and an artificial one. And this is the new beauty.
Things are moving quickly around here in the Christmas decorating department! The house is about finished, just still trying to clean up some of the clutter still. But anywho, today I am showing you our Christmas mantel for this year, and I am really digging it. It’s simple, yet grand, and sometimes simple and grand is all you need.
Down here in good ole Texas we don’t have crazy winters or anything. I wish sometimes we did, but then again I don’t see how people up north live day to day in knee-deep snow so it’s probably a good thing I’m in the South. That doesn’t mean though we don’t use our fireplaces every opportunity we get! I promise you the moment it hits 59 degrees here, all chimneys here in the South are just-a roaring.
With that said, most of you will know I don’t have a fireplace in our home, but my mom does so I went and did her a favor and cleaned out her fireplace that hasn’t been cleaned out in about 20 years! Yes, I am, quite the awesome daughter.
We’re kicking off the first of December with a new wreath I recently made and I think it’s one of my most favorite wreaths ever! Really! It’s a Christmas ornament wreath, and it’s all shiny and silver and makes me happy.
