Fall Mantel

The Gold and Glam Fall Mantel

Happy Monday everyone I hope you had a great weekend! I’m so excited to reveal our Fall Mantel today! I’m calling it my goldy-glam mantel because of all the sparkly gold. There’s just something about gold (real or fake) that makes everything feel fancier right? Anywho, here she is all glammified.

Printable Stickers and Gold and Silver Foil Labels

Today I wanted to tell you about some new cool products from Silhouette and let you know about a special discount! They came out with some printable stickers, and new gold and silver printable foil that you can use for lots of different things. I love these cute labels…

Pretty Blues and Metallics {Our Fall Entry Table}

I kicked off Fall by first decorating our entry table, and I wanted to go with a more “elegant” look there with non-traditional Autumn colors.  Since I love so many styles and colors, I tend to choose different areas of the house and do different looks. And here is what I came up with for the entry table.

Baby Update – 2 Months

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great Labor Day!  I am just popping in to post a few pics of the little one that turned 2 months old over the weekend.  She is just so cute I couldn’t resist showing you! She’s smiling lots, loves Daddy’s voice and always responds to him with smiles, and she’s cooing like crazy.

Dry Erase Canvas Board {With An Owl}

I saw the cutest thing at Hobby Lobby the other day and had to snag it up. It was a dry erase board, on canvas, and it had an owl on it! It is perfect for our office because I am always doodling and writing myself reminders everywhere.  And I wanted something different than a chalkboard so this worked out… View Post

How to Organize Your K-Cups and Coffee Pods {For Free}

Any coffee lovers out there?  We are big drinkers (of coffee) and have one of those Keurig coffee machines and use it every day, several times a day.  We love it!  But I did not love the boxes that the K-cups come in and the space that they waste.  So I had to come up with something to organize them… View Post

A Real Photo Shoot {Newborn Pictures}

Please forgive me for these crazy baby posts (not really), but I just HAVE to share this one with you all.  Blogging is about pretty pictures right? It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
