Green and Gold Christmas Mantel!

Happy Monday y’all I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We are trying to get back in the swing of things here, but I am thrilled I got the Christmas mantel done over the weekend to share with you! I went green and gold this year, and simple, and love it. :)

All I used was some fresh garland from a local nursery, doubled up so it’s more full, and sprinkled in a few ornaments. The same ones that will go on our tree.

The stockings are the ones from Tiny Prints that I posted about and love them!

And those of  you that didn’t like my moss wreath, shame on you. ;)

Glitter Deer Head | Decorchick!®

Maybe you’ll like it better with the fancy deer head. :) If not, that’s ok!

Here’s a few more photos for you.

And that’s a wrap!

I can’t wait to show you some more Christmas decor coming soon, along with a holiday home tour! I have lots to do this week! :)

How’s your holiday decorating coming along? We at least got the tree up, but it’s not dressed yet.

Love the green and gold combo! Are fresh garlands easy to maintain? I always worry that they’ll dry out as the month goes by.

Thanks Nelly. Yes all I have done in years past is just spritz them daily or every few days with water. They do dry out over time of course, but I can get a good 3-4 weeks out of them usually.

I love the moss wreath ! I have the same question as the above reader regarding the beautiful greens. How do you maintain during the season and do you find one type of greenery holds up better (and longer) than another ? I just love the way they look !

This garland is a mix of cedar and a few others. I just spritz them daily or every few days with water and they will stay ok at least until Christmas!

Beautiful work! I love the simplicity of the green and the gold. And I find myself especially enjoying the dear with the golden, glitter antlers…it’s just so fun! It makes me extremely excited for Christmas. I just put up my mini Christmas tree yesterday, as I live in a little apartment I don’t have room for much more, but I really am enjoying it!

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

How could you NOT with these gorgeous colorings?! A red and blue Merle are so unique, and they are the sweetest!🐶🐶

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
