10 Advent Calendar Tutorials

Well Christmas is literally just around the corner, I can’t believe it!  And if you are planning on making an advent calendar this year, it’s already time to start thinking about it since they need to be displayed by December 1. :)  So I’ve compiled a list of my 10 favorite DIY advent calendars floating around the net, and hopefully you might get inspired to make one of them. :)

All of these include tutorials as well, so enjoy!

1. Dollar Store Advent Calendar from Infarrantly Creative

2. Pottery Barn Inspired Advent Calendar from Under the Table and Dreaming

3. Baby Sock Advent Calendar from Martha Stewart

4. DIY Calendar from Honey We’re Home

5. Tin Advent Calendar from Call Me Badger

6. Matchbox Advent Jar from Just a Girl

7. String of Lights Advent Calendar from Elsie Marley

8. DIY Advent Calendar Tree from Hi Sugarplum

9. Felt Pocket Advent Calendar from allsorts

10. Christmas Book Advent Calendar from Babyccino Kids

Don’t forget there is always the adorable Silhouette Advent calendar too.

Aren’t those all awesome ideas??  Which one is your favorite?  I think I should make an “advent room” so I can do them all. :)

Have you seen any using glass baby food jars? I have a ton of those and am looking for something cute to do with them. Maybe paint them and put the little candies or thing to do inside. Fun!

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
