Why I’ve Been Quiet and The Big News

Well I don’t know if any of you read through my cryptic post the other day titled “Life Happens,” but that’s exactly what has happened. A new little life is cooking in my oven.  If you still don’t understand, yes, I’m pregnant! :)

It was shocking news. Very shocking.  And I’ll spare you the details as to why.  But now that the initial shock is over, we are very excited.  I’m scared to death though.  Really.

And unfortunately for me when I get pregnant, that means I am sick as a dog for the first 3 months.  Well that’s what happened with my daughter, and the day I found out about this one, I got very sick that same night. It was awful. And I’ve been in bed ever since all day long.  Everything is grossing me out, even the computer, so I haven’t even been on my laptop in almost 2 weeks.  And that means I haven’t read any of your blogs, responded to anyone’s emails, and definitely haven’t decorated anything. When I mean I’ve done nothing, I’ve done absolutely zero.  We’re lucky our lights are still on in the house since I remembered to pay that bill.

I’m going to the doctor tomorrow so I’ll get all the details then.  And at least the doctor did call in some nausea medicine for me last week and that has helped a lot, but then some days it does nothing.  Weird.

I had big plans to make all sorts of pretty Christmas crafts this year and was so excited about it.  But ummm, that’s likely not happening now.  Hopefully I’ll start to feel normal again soon and get back on a regular posting schedule, but just letting you all know there is a good chance I’ll be in and out a lot.  :)

So that’s the big news!  Are you shocked?

xxoo,

Decorchick!

Congratulations!! I can totally relate.. I have twin 6 wk old little girls and that was my third pregnancy. My hubby says he’s never seen someone be able to barf so much. lol…
Please take it easy! I wound up on hospital bedrest for 62 days the girls were in the NICU for 8 days. I’m so thankful to be back at home and I’m just now starting to get some sort of “normal-ish” routine. (too bad there’s not much housework in that routine, but oh, well..)

I pray the yucky days don’t last long and you are able to relax and enjoy this time of one of the most special things, “crafting” a baby!

Congrats! What a great surprise for you guys…:)

My Dad is an OB/GYN…I could tell you some stories from my youth…and he says that if you keep some crackers and lemons by your bed (or with you) that it helps a lot. When you feel sick, suck on a lemon and be sure to eat some crackers. Also…take your prenatal vitamins at night instead of in the morning. I was sick as a dog with my daughter, and once I switched the time I was taking my vitamins…it helped a WHOLE lot.

Just take it easy and enjoy the time. Before you know it, you’ll be busy, busy, busy.

I had the same problem with sickness for 4 months. The only remedy I found was to treat it as though I had blood sugar problems. I started my day sucking peanut butter from a spoon AS SOON as I awoke. This protien would replenish my blood sugar. Then my hubby would bring me breakfast in bed, usually eggs and toast. Long story short… be sure to eat protien EVERY few hours and stay away from sugar. Good Luck and congrats!

Congratulations!!!! How exciting! Believe me, when we found out I was pregnant last year we were in complete shock. Seriously, we didn’t say a word for about 20 minutes after we got a positive test. Indy had just turned 8 and we had absolutely not plans for another baby. Indy was supposed to be an only! When I was pregnant with Indy, I was NEVER sick, but with Han Solo, I was sick all the freaking time for the first 3 months and absolutely exhausted for the entire pregnancy, which is NOT good when you homeschool. He was born in April and I can’t imagine life without him.
I’ll send you “easy pregnancy” dust and can’t wait to hear about your adventures!

It’s not about hustling harder or chasing validation.

So, what’s the secret to real growth?

It’s showing up for yourself with purpose, trusting the process, and focusing on what truly matters.💕
