Let me tell you a little bit about how I operate as a person, in life, in general. When I get my mind set on something, I make it happen. Usually. Lots of times I wake up feeling totally inspired to repaint a room or use my miter saw. And it has to be done that day. Or at least started. Then lots of other times I won’t do anything major for a month or 2. I go in spurts. I write my posts the night before because I’m inspired to do them at that time. I’m not much of a scheduler.
More Habit Shopping, and Cowhide Rugs
I can’t stay off MyHabit and keep looking for good deals. So when good deals are to be had, I have to share. I wrote about Amazon’s My Habit site over a month ago and many of you love it too. These are some of the current sales and items that I dig, and when I saw they had cowhide rugs at great prices, that sealed the deal and then this post was born.
My Joss & Main Event Happening Now! | A Special Curated Home Decor Sale
Hi friends I wanted to pop in and let you know I’ve been honored to curate another event with Joss & Main! And the sale is live now so I hope you check it out and score some great affordable items.
Bathroom Makeover With Board and Batten, and a Fancy New Fan
Hi all! Man I feel like I’ve been going non-stop lately (which I really have been) but that’s good for y’all since you get to see new projects right? I love having new things to share and was so happy when I put up some board and batten in the master bathroom! I wanted to give it a little more of a luxury feel without breaking the bank, and easy board and batten was the trick.
Where To Find Inexpensive Poufs and Ottomans
Just wanted to pop in and let you know where you can find those cute pouf ottoman things that you see everywhere, including our new seating area in the living room which many of you asked about. And by the way, thank you for all of the repins! Keep em’ coming. :) But the best deal I have found was at World Market and they are the knitted kind, and super cute.
New Living Room Seating Area!
Hello friends I hope you all had a great weekend. We finally had a cool front in Texas! Today I’m so thrilled to show you all our new living room seating arrangement today! I’ve been itching to do something different in our living room since we only have brown leather furniture in there (which was bought pre-blog days), and we have always needed more seating in there, but more importantly, something to break up all of that leather.
P.S.-keep reading below for a Homegoods giveaway! Plus, I really need your help at winning this challenge so re-pinning this image from THIS link will be MUCH appreciated and I’ll love you forever. Don’t worry I will remind you all again at the end of this post. :)
So here’s the new seating area, and my new non-leather chair, hallelujah.
How To Paint Stripes | And Painting Stripes on Textured Walls
Rustic and Textured Fall Mantel
Woohoo who’s ready for Fall?! I know I’ve been talking about Fall since the beginning of the month, soooo, you know I am. :) This year for the Fall mantel I decided I was really digging textures and the rustic look, so that’s how the mantel ended up. Quite a difference from last year’s gold and glam mantel! But something about burlap and pretty textures always draw me in so I went for it and came up with this.
An Interview With Genevieve Gorder!
Holy moly did you see that post title? Did it sink in? An interview. With Genevieve Gorder!! Oh my. So yes, I was so fortunate to have a little time last week to chat with her on the phone. I KNOW. I died a little. She is a superstar, and my favorite designer ever, so it was a little nutso to get to speak with her, but jumped at the opportunity.
Mudroom Makeover Under $100! | And A Striped Wall
Woohoo! I am SO excited to finally share this space with you all! Funny thing is though, is that I’ve never really mentioned I was creating a mudroom. Well, I sort of have a long time ago, but nothing detailed. So surprise, you get a full reveal instead of just snippets. :) I did however mention that I had a striping fail (not to be confused with stripping), and this was the little hallway that I was doing the stripes on. Another funny thing is that you’ve never seen this hallway ever on my blog! You’ll see why soon. Until then, here is the mudroom makeover done under $100, and with the striped wall!
5 Tips and Ideas To Decorate for Fall
Hey all! I wanted to do a post about 5 different ways you can decorate for Fall and give you a few tips and ideas since it might seem like a daunting task. With as many styles as I like, I’ve had several different looks each year. And often times I’ll do different styles in different areas of our home just so I have a variety. There are just too many pretty things to choose from this time of year so it’s easy to be indecisive!
My Habit | Shopping
It’s probably no surprise I love to shop. I love to redecorate and look for new things for our home since I have a tendency to grow tired of something probably quicker than most people. And since shopping behind your computer monitor is even better, that’s when I got happy about a new flash sale site on Amazon called MyHabit. Amazon is amazing on its own, so I just assumed MyHabit would be amazing and it is! And that’s why I wanted to let you all know about it because we all love a good deal.
