I’ve been so excited to share this delicious Sangria recipe with you all, and it’s perfect for summer!! And I have the regular version with alcohol, and a non-alcholic version to share so this will appeal to everyone. Plus, I added a special ingredient…
Yummo! And yes, the secret special ingredient is the Orange essential oil! You could use any of the Young Living citrus oils like lemon, lime, citrus fresh, tangerine, etc. You can’t go wrong. I wrote about 10 uses for Orange oil in this post too if you’d like to check it out.
I am participating in an amazing summer series called Essentially Summer, hosted by Myra at My Blessed Life, which showcases 35 delicious recipes all the way from drinks to main dishes, and of course using Young Living Essential Oils.
Why are we doing this? Because essential oils are SO versatile and can be used to cook with, to flavor your water, and to make mouth watering recipes. All of that in addition to the superior wellness benefits the essential oils already have, which I’ve talked about numerous times here on the blog. Now with this series, I want to show you all the many different ways you can use your oils!
Here is the non-alcholic version my mom helped me make as well.
That is a great option if you do not drink alcohol, and even a fun version for kiddos to drink if you are having a party. Just be sure not to mix the 2 up!
You ready for the recipes now for these 2 fabulous drinks? Here you go. This is a nice printable version too!
- 1 bottle dry rose wine (we used Charles & Charles)
- 1 T sugar
- 1/4 cup Spanish brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau, Grand Marnier)
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- appx 1 cup assorted fruits (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, apple – whatever you like that is in season)
- Mix all ingredients in pitcher, let sit in refrigerator overnight.
- Just before serving, add:
- sparkling water (1 cup) (or more to taste)
- Young Living orange oil (or whatever citrus oil is your favorite. We used 2 drops for this pitcher, but feel free to experiment and mix them up)
- Stir to incorporate; spoon some fruit into glasses when serving.
And here is the non-alcoholic version.
- 3 cups Welch’s white grape juice
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- appx 1 cup assorted fruits (strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peaches, apple – whatever you like that is in season)
- Mix all ingredients in pitcher, let sit in refrigerator overnight.
- Just before serving, add:
- sparkling water (one cup) (or more to taste)
- Young Living orange oil (we used 2 drops of orange oil, but you can use any favorite citrus oil or mix them up)
- Stir to incorporate; spoon some fruit into glasses when serving.
And that’s it friends! We love to have this at my mom’s while when out at the pool. It’s so refreshing!
Are you a Sangria fan too? I’d love to hear how you make yours!
Next up in our Essentially Summer series is my new BFF, Bridget at Bridget’s Corner where she is sharing her very special margarita recipe! I hope you stop on by and visit her, because I guarantee you’ve never had a margarita like hers. Myra will also be updating her post daily to include the new recipes posted each day by our Oily Families team, so be sure and check back!
To learn more about essential oils, check out my essential oils page (or the person who introduced you to the Essentially Summer series), and there might even be an orangey surprise over there. Just sayin’. ;)

This sounds really good! I’d probably opt for the non-alcoholic version, but the orange liqueur is appealing. Might even add some Ningxia Red!! So excited to be participating in this series with you!
