DIY Glitter Leaves {Easy Christmas Craft}

Hope you all have had a wonderful week so far! I feel like I’ve been going ninety to nothing, getting bits and pieces accomplished but not a full and complete task, know what I mean? Anywho, I did manage to make a very easy Christmas craft this week and I love how it came out.  It was basically free too which was a bonus.  So here are my easy DIY glitter leaves:

Glitter Leaves

So pretty right? Anything with glitter is pretty. But wow, it’s messy.  I’m not going to lie.  I wish I could say you won’t have glitter all over the place, but yea, you will.  It’s the price we have to pay for beauty. :)

First I went in our backyard and cut off some magnolia leaves from our tree.

Then I painted on some Modge Podge.

You can do this front and back, or just 1 side. I only did the front side.

Then I dipped in a plate of glitter.

And then they will look like this.

I did several leaves and laid them out on foil to dry.

So after you have all of your leaves you can do whatever you want with them! I am using some on the mantel which I’ll show you next week, but you can also make a pretty centerpiece like this.

I just used my dough bowl, put the leaves in and then threw some ornaments on top. So pretty!

Everyone needs some bling bling Christmas leaves right? :)

Oh, and another great idea, just take an ornament hook, poke it through the leaf and hang on your tree for some beautiful hand-made ornaments. I think I might do that myself.

Have you glitterfied anything yet this season? I always say each year I won’t use glitter, and each year I still do.  It’s just inevitable it will be everywhere around the house.

Oh, and don’t forget to enter the All I Want for Christmas HUGE giveaway Part TWO that’s still going on for a chance to win lots of goodies like ipads, Cash, and more!

Beautiful! I think I’ll glitter some stuff up around my house this weekend!

Ohhh, I just love these! What a great idea. And you’re totally right — these are pretty much free to make. There is glitter all.over.my.apartment right now. I may have to give the glitter a time-out for right now, but when the glitz and I are friends again, this is the project I’ll do. I pinned it so that I’ll remember! ;-) Thanks so much for sharing with us. Have a great weekend!

If you spray them with a clear protectant spray the glitter won’t fall off and make a mess. Plus you’ll be able to store them better without ruining. Cute idea!

Love this idea. What kind of protectant spray would you use? I bought some glittered pieces for the garland on my stair railing last year and had glitter everywhere in my foyer.

I love the idea of taking leaves from my garden and glittering them.

Beautiful, fabulous idea and something I may just give a try here, of course our dogs might be sporting a little glitz too then.

I love this! Now I’ll have to find some leaves and do the same. Seems like they’ve all blown away! Perhaps I can try something similar with pinecones!

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

How could you NOT with these gorgeous colorings?! A red and blue Merle are so unique, and they are the sweetest!🐶🐶

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
