New Patio Additions!

Hey all hope you had a great weekend!!  We did, and I finished up a few things out on our patio and can’t wait to show you! I teamed up with Kirkland’s for their Patio Perfect series and couldn’t be more pleased with their outdoor products.  I know you all love Kirkland’s already–they have the best deals on their home decor items, and their outdoor items are priced great too.  We can’t forget to decorate our outside living areas now can we?

Ok let me first give you a few before shots of our patio.

It wasn’t bad, but it was lacking color and a little personality. And also a few more live plants!

And now here is the after with my new additions from Kirkland’s!

So so pretty!! I just love it and love our patio a billion times more.

Now let me show you a few more details from the items I chose for our patio to spruce it up.

First up is this beautiful turquoise mosaic side table and bronze metal hanging lantern.

Since the patio cushions we already have were mostly orange/rust color, I decided to add pops of color using blue and orange and I love the way it came out.

I also got 4 of these geometric/modern outdoor pillows that incorporate all of those colors and love them too.

I put 2 on the loveseat and 1 in each chair.  Yes, I still need new patio covers but that will come sometime.  I figured these new pillows would pave the way for the new covers I’ll eventually pick out. :)

I adore these huge floor lanterns too!

They are really massive.  I can’t wait to decorate them for the holidays either.  How cute would they be up on your front porch all lit up?!   And I don’t know if this is the permanent placement of where they will stay on our patio, but they look good here for now. :)

Check out this awesome teacup planter!

Don’t let the name teacup fool you though–this planter is big and beautiful and I love it with my new succulent!

I also got this cute metal tool pot.

Now hopefully the mowers won’t keep running over the tools I have because my daughter takes them out there to dig dirt and forgets to bring them back! If they can just stay in this pot now, I’ll be happy. :)

Isn’t everything so pretty?  Really makes a huge difference I think.  I also added a few new plants to bring in some more orange. I love me some orange!

So what do you think?? Kirkland’s products can furnish any outdoor space easily on a limited budget, and who isn’t on a limited budget these days?  I’m very happy with the way our patio turned out thanks to Kirkland’s and I’ll definitely be purchasing some more items from them in the future!  And I might just have something awesome for you all this week courtesy of Kirkland’s too! ;)

You can read more about our first patio makeover here if you’d like. Don’t forget to stay up to date with Kirkland’s on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest too!

Are you ready to spruce up your outdoor spaces?  Or have you already? I’d love to hear what you’ve done so far! Sharing this post at Sarah’s Before and After Party and her outdoor party.

xxoo,

Decorchick!

I love your patio! I love orange and turquoise together. It’s funny because my grandparents build a home in the 1950’s and use those two colors to decorate their home…mostly turquoise. I always though I would never use those colors together. But now I feel differently, I love them together! I love your style and the way you decorate!

itis amazing what a few pillows and especially the plants, mainly the suculent, can do . I just hung up new aqua dish towels in the kitchen, and I am amazed at the change and enegy in there too. I am wondering about the carpet, it doesn’t show up much in the photo, is it just the photo or is it the carpet itself. Am wondering if a brighter/deeper carpet would ground everything more? Maybe I am wrong. Very lovely patio, I know you will enjoy it a lot.

My inlaws have the same patio space, door position and furniture but different setting. Since the door is where you use alot to enter/exit and bring this to and from the kitchen it made much better sense to place the grill along the concrete wall by the door. That way every time you get food out to the grill much quicker and easier than having to take that turn around the patio furniture to the other corner where you currently have your grill. Also if the patio furniture was positioned further down, it would be centered and aligned with the black shade windows..just a thought!

Getting stronger—inside and out!💪 I’m not Getting stronger—inside and out!💪

I’m not just building muscle—I’m building longevity.

There’s something powerful about moving heavy weight. It reminds me of what I’m capable of—not just physically, but mentally too.

Lifting weights isn’t just about aesthetics. For women, it’s essential. Here’s why:

1. It preserves bone density and helps prevent osteoporosis

💪As we age—especially post-menopause—our bone density naturally declines. Lifting weights helps slow or even reverse that loss, reducing the risk of fractures and improving long-term mobility.

2. It builds lean muscle and boosts metabolism

💪Muscle burns more calories at rest than fat, which means strength training supports fat loss and makes it easier to maintain a healthy weight without extreme dieting.

3. It reduces the risk of chronic diseases and supports long-term health

💪Lifting improves insulin sensitivity, lowers inflammation, and supports heart and brain health—helping reduce your risk of conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and cognitive decline.

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own strength journey—this is your sign. It’s never too late, and you don’t have to be perfect—just consistent.☺️
