Hey everyone, today I want to let you know about an awesome sweepstakes from Apartment Guide going on called Your Picks.Your Place. It’s where you visit their site and vote for your favorite design boards and you are automatically entered in to win the $10,000 grand prize!

There are 4 featured bloggers who are doing the design boards each week (and you definitely will recognize their names because they are awesome), so that is what you are voting for and it’s super easy.  They are also offering several weekly prizes of $250, just in case you might not with the grand prize. But $250 still sounds good to me! :)

Here are the official details and rules of the sweepstakes then I will get to the giveaway.

From now until August 14, visit YourPicksYourPlace.com to vote once per day for your preferred room design showcasing furniture and home décor items selected by featured bloggers.  The site will feature four different room designs every two weeks. By voting, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $10,000 grand prize or one of eight $250 weekly prizes to go towards your own selections for your home. While you’re on the site, you can find design and décor tips from Kim Myles, Apartment Guide and featured bloggers to help you design a room that’s uniquely you.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Sweepstakes ends @ 9:00 PM on 8/14/12, subject to Entry Periods outlined in Official Rules. Must be a US legal resident of the 50 US or DC and 18 years of age or older. Sweepstakes subject to full Official Rules available at www.yourpicksyourplace.com. Void where prohibited.

    Oh man I love the coastal one, it would fit so perfectly in our loft which consists of random stuff from the DH’s army days and mix-n-match ikea furniture along with my toddlers toys, hah! Awful.

    I would so love pieces from all the boards above, my taste is very eclectic or maybe that is a nice way of saying scattered? With $10K I would get new hardwoods, a new kitchen backsplash, some curtains for my mile high windows in the family room and some new bedding to finish off my master bedroom!

    What would I do with 10K??? First I would paint my house. I bought my house five years ago and I still have the original white wall that came with the house :) buy new carpet, new living room set, living room and kitchen decor.

    I would redo my floor as the cheap tiles are all messed up and coming up. I would fix the holes in the wall, the doors that are messed up, the leaky kitchen faucet. My front and back doors, the windows and screens which are messed up, the leaky pipes under the house, and last but not least the heat. :(

    My husband and I are considering moving into a house that’s been in the family since the 70’s and hasn’t been updated at all, so the $10,000 would go toward getting rid of all the ugly paneling, harvest gold bathrooms, and painting/flooring updates.

    With $10,000 I would address my flooring issues and some furniture for the media room! I.need.new.floors!!!!

    I think I would do my kitchen cabinets white, remove the half wall between it and dining room for visual flow over counter, get a new stove (glass top cracked now), put floor & trim in unfinished small bedroom, freshen up powder room with paint/waiscoting/new vanity & floor (hey, it’s only about 6′ x 6′!) and renew office/guest room! OR I jut might have to put all wood floors throughout 1st floor! Hmmm…choices, choices!

    I might do a little bit to each room in the house. Each room is lacking something. I’d love new couches in our family room. Our loft could use some more shelves. My room could use some serious decor help. What a hard decision.

    We’re in the process of buying a house & the kitchen hasn’t been touched since the house was built in the 80s. Yeah ’nuff said lol. This would help fix up the kitchen & all 3 bathrooms definitely.

    Since my husband and I just rent right now, in a not so great neighborhood, I would use the money for a down payment towards a house..I dont even know if this amount of money would be enough or just right but we’d keep saving to add to it if it wasn’t enough. If that plan didnt work out, I would love to use it to move to a better neighborhood and keep renting for now.

    Oh the possibilities with $ 10,000. I would revamp or living room in every way, then I might work on our master bedroom which could use a little lift!

    New paint and trim! I took the trim off my living room and hallway walls two years ago and never for around to buying new. It still looks a mess in here :(

    Not sure what I would spend the $10,000, but I think I would start with my little boys’ room. Maybe redo the family room, too. Get a nice sofa and TV to go down there!

      Oh! I almost forgot! I would actually start with replacing the carpet on the stairs with wood. Can’t believe I forgot that. Ha Then, granite in the kitchen. Forgot that, too….
      Then I’d move on to the boys’ room. ;-)

    wow…with 10k,we would definitely fix our pool – and our outdoor deck – our wonderful home is showing its age – the 10k would give it a badly needed update!

    I voted southern bungalow because of the whimsy, I love the warm colors of the Rustic, I dream of living at the beach and I like the space consciousness of the loft. I would probably vote for them all if I could.
