Yooooo Gabba Gabba! {The Cutest Little Robot}

Well I know Halloween was Monday, but I just have to share my daughter’s costume because it was the cutest thing ever!  If any of you (or your kids for that matter), are Yo Gabba Gabba fans, then you’re gonna love this costume.  My daughter went as Plex, the yellow robot.

Yes I know not many little girls are typically robots, but isn’ that the cutest costume??!  We didn’t decide until actually the day of Halloween to take her trick or treating.  We don’t usually do the whole Halloween thing and I don’t decorate for it, but I figured that since we went trick or treating every year when growing up and we turned out to be ok, that it would be ok for her too. :)  And luckily Party City had the outfit on Monday!  And Plex is her favorite character…she talks about it all.the.time.  It was meant to be.

I am SO glad we took her though.  We all had the best time and she LOVED it and she got the hang of it fast!  Every time we would pass other kids dressed up, she’d yell “Hiiiiiiiiiii Friends!” as they walked by, and would then say “Bye Friends!”  Preciousness.

We are taking her to the Yo Gabba Gabba live concert next month and I think me and my husband are just as excited about it as she is.  Boy how times have changed…:)

So any Yo Gabba Gabba Fans out there or been to their live show?  It’s also ok if you don’t know who in the world I’m talking about. I didn’t know about them until this year.  And they annoyed the heck out of me at first, but now, well, I can’t get their songs out of my head every day.

You can also check out a guest post today about our dresser redo over at Dot Com For Moms.

xxoo,

I’m so happy you decided to go trick-or-treating. It’s all for fun, no need to read anything into it. I wanted to comment on your redo but couldn’t at the site so I’ll do it here.

I’m loving the grey top with the white. It helps it not look so stark. Ever look at a re-do and think, “How did I ever live with it the old way?” It looks so much better!

My husband and his siblings were never taken out treat or treating and they definitely hold a grudge against their parents on that one! You made the right decision – she is adorable : ) This may be her favourite costume for life too, mine is the Tinkerbell outfit I wore when I was a little girl.

Adorable!!! I still haven’t seen that show yet…surprising, as I feel like with my little nieces and nephew, I keep up with the shows. I know everyone talks about this one, so I’ll have to check it out at some point. I’m so glad your little one had such a Happy Halloween!

Their songs are really catchy! You have to watch when they get stuck in your head because some people might be a little creeped out if they overheard you singing their hit, “Don’t bite your friends!”

Do a post on the Yo Gabba Gabba show after you go to it! We’ve been thinking about it, but are not sure we want to spend the money – if it’s great, though, we’d like to take our little boy. Let us know!

Oh she is adorable! I SO miss this part of Halloween! It is something I am looking forward to with my grandson now that my girls are all grown up. Your daughters age is so perfect for trick,or treating, the are just so sweet. “hiiiii friends”. So cute! Did you see the Kemmel video of how he asked parents to fake their kids out and tell them they are all their candy? It is so funny, especially the last two little boys, classic! Have a great weekend.

We are huge Gabba fans! Definitely do a post of how the live concert was…my husband and I want to take our sons but are not sure about spending the money…not sure if you will see this in time, but tonight, Sunday the 6th, Nick Jr is actually showing the live concert at 7! We are definitely going to be watching!

This costume is so cute! I loved that she dressed up as Plex! I really wanted William to be DJ Lance Rock, but he wanted to be Buzz Lightyear instead… I can’t wait for Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Just a few more weeks!!

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

How could you NOT with these gorgeous colorings?! A red and blue Merle are so unique, and they are the sweetest!🐶🐶

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
