Stitch Fix Box Delivery | Decorchick!®

Stitch Fix is My New Obsession!

Oh, well hey there! I’ve had a lot going on these past 3 weeks. I was in Utah for a few days, celebrated our 9 year anniversary with hubby, ordered some NEW curriculum because part of ours wasn’t working, and have just been doing life! I will get into all of the homeschool adventures in a different post, but for… View Post

Fall Decorating in the Kitchen!

Hello friends! I’ve been busy sprucing up our kitchen and adding some Fall touches since hello, it’s September now!! And a *slight* cool front is coming to Texas this weekend so it’s totally appropriate to bring out the pumpkins. :) Nothing drastic, nothing super fancy, but something that still catches your eye when you come into our kitchen! Nordstrom Rack for Your Home

Hey guys, I’m back today with some fun home finds from none other than Nordstrom Rack!! Did you all know they had home items?! If not, you are missing out. I am a big Nordstrom fan, and probably about 80% of my clothes come from the Rack, and now, probably about that same percentage of items in our home will… View Post

The Best Peaches and Cream Cake Ever! | Decorchick!®

Peaches and Cream Cake

Soooo, I turned 35 last week!! I don’t mind sharing my age here. Why? I guess maybe because either I still feel like I’m 20 and don’t care, or because maybe I’m in denial, but I’m going with the first one. Age is just a number anyway! But I would be doing a disservice to you all if I didn’t… View Post

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
