Sometimes a Little Bling Is Good

This will be good y’all, just wait. Or I should say, read. :) So the Silhouette team sent out their rhinestone bundle kit to try out.  I’m not going to lie.  I was scared to try to do a project with rhinestones.  But, it’s a happy ending. This is what came to try out. Then I found an image I… View Post

When Will The Shedding Stop?!

I do love our new rugs from Overstock that are in the living room now, but the shedding of the rugs is quite maddening.  I know the rugs weren’t the most expensive (but not super cheap either), but the quality still seems good, and they are nice and thick with a good pile height. But I have been vacuuming them… View Post

The New Entry

It’s time to show how the entry way looks now after the new paint and with everything back up on the walls, so come on in! All of the accessories are pretty much the same, but the only new addition is that round mirror hanging on that little wall above. It’s my new favorite thing. When my husband first saw… View Post

A Happy Place

I don’t know what planet I have been on, but I just found out about the BEST resale shop that’s probably in America.  And it’s only 30 minutes away from me in Houston.  Living in a small town outside of Houston, going to the “big city” isn’t fun like it used to be for me, and sometimes is just a… View Post

All You Need is Drama.

Umm, hello new luscious long drapes that totally transformed our living room!  Where have you been all my life? Over the weekend I spent 4 hours on one of those death metal ladders hanging up the curtain rod.  It wasn’t fun.  Not at all. But, it was well worth the sacrifice to have those lovely curtains hanging up now! So… View Post

The Spring Mantel

Spring has sprung and I’m loving it!  Y’all know how much I love redoing our mantel each season, and now I really love it with the new paint color on the walls because it allows me to pretty much do whatever I want to do now.  Not that I couldn’t before, but some colors just wouldn’t have looked right with… View Post

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
