How to Organize Your K-Cups and Coffee Pods {For Free}

Any coffee lovers out there?  We are big drinkers (of coffee) and have one of those Keurig coffee machines and use it every day, several times a day.  We love it!  But I did not love the boxes that the K-cups come in and the space that they waste.  So I had to come up with something to organize them… View Post

How To Do Laundry and Regain Your Sanity

Laundry isn’t a fun chore to most, but with this simple and easy tip, it can be, and you will feel SO awesome. Have you ever heard of Flylady?  I heard of her several years ago from my sister.  I read up on what she does and recommends back then, but sadly I never put anything to practice.  But one… View Post

Ghost Chairs. Yay or Nay?

I’ve been seeing these ghost chairs pop up everywhere lately, and I think they are interesting and wanted to get your take on them. They are great because visually they take up little space if you are in need of a chair in a small setting. There are a couple of different styles, the Louis Ghost Chair and the Victoria… View Post

Well these are definitely pretty. :)  We decided and were fortunate enough to hire a photographer to do some newborn shots of Ellie, and wow oh wow I’m so glad we did.  We… View Post

Life With Two and My Recovery

I’ve received several emails from some of you asking how it is now having 2 kids now and asked how I’ve been feeling from my c-section.  So I thought I’d write a little bit about it, what we’ve experienced so far, and how we deal with it. First of all, the c-section: I can honestly say the recovery with this… View Post

An Awesome Yo Gabba Gabba Party

We had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party over the weekend and it was SO fun.  And as I’ve mentioned before she is a huge Yo Gabba Gabba fan so that was the theme of this year’s party.  I’d say I kept it simple again, but I guess it really wouldn’t be considered simple. For me, I kind of went “all… View Post

And in fact, her birthday is… View Post

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
