Well Christmas is just a week away I cannot believe it. Even though Christmas comes at the exact same time each year, it sure manages to sneak up on me. Luckily I am done shopping though so that’s a relief! Today I am going to take you on a little tour of the Christmas casa so come on in. :)
We did something different this year and bought a real flocked Christmas tree!! And when I mentioned that on Facebook some of you haven’t heard of a flocked tree! You know, the ones that look like snow is on them? Maybe that’s a Southern thing since we don’t get snow? Anyway, I love it, and didn’t want to decorate it because it was already beautiful.
Hey everyone (does that sound familiar?)! Thanks for the love and sweet words on my video. Y’all are seriously TOO nice. :) And just as giggly as I was in my video, today I am more giggly and giddy because I finally got some good bokeh shots of our Christmas tree. Oh mercy. I’m keeping this short and sweet y’all. I promised you all I would show you the outcome of the LED bulbs I wrote about the other day in the form of a video. And let’s just say that “vlogging” is not in my blogging future, and there is a 99.9% chance you will never see a vlog from me again. You will soon understand why, and you will thank me. Well happy Monday everyone I hope you had a great weekend! Can you believe Christmas is just 2 weeks away?? ME EITHER. I’m hoping the cold front that’s coming today helps it feel like the Christmas season because I’ve still been wearing flip flops every day. Anywho, I dressed up our front porch this year for Christmas and love how it turned out!
Well, I’m sad to say that the Celebration of Service events are coming to a close this month. I’ve loved being a part of this life-changing event with The Home Depot Foundation because we have helped so many people across this country. My last Celebration of Service event was actually near my hometown, and it was a house visit to my local veteran family that was chosen for me.
Have you heard of Operation Homefront? It’s a great organization that helps military families with several different needs.
I have something pretty to show you today. But I don’t know what they are “officially” called? My cousin Rachael made this for my Christmas door decor all the way from Alabama and sent it to me! She’s like a professional bow maker (to me) and she really needs to move to Texas so she can make me bows all the time. Just wait till you see what her hubby made for me a few weeks ago when they came to visit! But back to the non-wreath. Here it is.

Woohoo the Christmas mantel is done!! I’m pretty much done decorating the house now for Christmas so that’s nice. I was done early this year. Now I just need to finish my shopping! Oh and the weather seriously needs to get cooler. It’s like 75 and 80 degrees again! Anywho, let’s just get right to the mantel.
