Do You Think I Like Coral?

Last weekend my mom took me maternity shopping because I was in desperate need of some cute things, and plus I needed things for the SNAP! Conference! Which is actually where I am at today if you are reading. :)  And when I got home from shopping, I realized something.  Everything I got was orange and coral!! Literally, everything. Wanna see?

Those are just 3 different shirts/blouses. And they all have some shade of orange!

This one is my favorite though.

It probably doesn’t look like much on the hanger, but it’s just a pretty, flowy blouse. :)

And then of course I had to get some jewels.

And my most favorite thing of all is these.

They are so comfy and the perfect height wedge.  I got them at Aldo.

See the wedge isn’t that high…

And I didn’t get just 1 pair of coral shoes, I got 2!!

These are just a comfy flat. And they are a little more salmon color but still blend in with everything else.

I got these at Nordstrom Rack so not sure where you could find them, but they are made by Nine West.  But um wow, I’m all set on the coral right?!  I just couldn’t help myself. And don’t worry, the coral will all balance out with the other layers I’m wearing etc. :)

And what’s a blog conference without getting your nails done?  Any guesses what color I chose?

If you guessed orange you’d be correct!  Goodness, I might as well have just painted myself with orange paint and called it done right?

Anyway, yes, I love orange and coral so much.  And not because it’s the “in” color right now. I kind of hate that it is because I’ve always loved it and don’t want everyone to think I’m just being trendy! Gah! :)

So this is my prego wardrobe for the next few days.  What do you think?  What’s your favorite color right now? Orange is everywhere!!

xxoo,

Decorchick!

Everything is so cute! Love the shoes. Love the shirts. It almost makes me wish I were pregnant, but that would be so weird at my age! Have a great time! You’re going to look spectacular!

I just recently joined the coral bandwagon and I love it. My nails, my nightstands, my sweater, my sandals and most of my recent clothing purchases all have either navy or coral in them. Love your choices, that flowy floral shirt looks beautiful. Enjoy the conference!

Great haul, Emily! I’ve always loved coral too. It’s one of those colors that’s always looked great on me. It just gives a warm glow to your skin when you wear it.

Have a great time at SNAP!!

Oh, snap. Can’t wait to hear! I am so about coral. .. in fact at Target today I picked up a darling coral raincoat on sale. Cute ruffle at the bottom. And then I thought, “Who really needs a coral raincoat?” so back it went :( Enjoy your trip, friend.

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

How could you NOT with these gorgeous colorings?! A red and blue Merle are so unique, and they are the sweetest!🐶🐶

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
