The Best Drywall Anchors and Screws

Happy Friday friends! I’ve been meaning to write this post forever now because I’ve used these anchors and screws for several years, and they are definitely the best! Forget those crappy ones that come with whatever product you bought (especially curtain rods!) and use these instead.

Trust me when I tell you that when you use these, your project will go MUCH smoother. Especially when hanging curtain rods! Can you tell I have issues with those cheap plastic white ones that pretty much break once you try and hammer in the wall?

So anyway, I get these green ones at The Home Depot and it’s $5.89 for a 25-pack.

Why do they work so well? I think because the end is pointed and sharp already, so you just hammer this right into the wall and no pre-drilling is required. They are so so handy!

Anyway, that’s just my little tip for the day and something I thought you might all like to know. Any tip to make a DIY project go a little easier is always a winner in my book. :)

So seriously, go throw away those cheap white plastic ones that come with everything!! Got it? Good. :)

And if you might be hanging up something like a large heavy mirror, this is my favorite little trick/tool to use for hanging on drywall. Works like a charm.

Have a great weekend friends! Any fun plans??

xxoo,

I usually use the anchors that look like a corkscrew, but I will have to give these a try. Thanks for the tip!

I love these! I got the bigger ones for a very heavy mirror and they work perfectly!

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
