Anything Goes Link Party!

Well it’s time for you all to showcase what you’ve been working on lately and link it up!  It can be anything for this party (makeovers, renos, redos, crafts, paint projects, decorating, etc), and you can link up more than 1 project if you’d like.

I don’t have anything huge to share today, but I will show you some new rugs that we have in the kitchen now.

Before:

And the new rugs:

Not huge, but they definitely helped to tie in the new kitchen color scheme which ended up being yellows, greens, grey and a little blue.  Since the kitchen is now painted grey, any color works in here now which is great.  I’ll show you more of the kitchen soon, but I sure am loving it!

The big yellow rug is from Crate and Barrel, and the 2 green Ikat rugs are from West Elm.

Remember to link to your actual blog post, and not your main blog url.  And a link back somewhere in your post would be much appreciated so others can know where you are partying. :)  Visit some other links too and make new friends! Linky will be open through Saturday, May 16 till 10:00 p.m.

Now, let’s see what you got!  I’ll be highlighting some favorites later on in the week and over the weekend. :)

Pretty new rugs, Emily, and may I say that you are doing a fabulous job with your home. I don’t always comment, but I do visit and your living room re-do is very impressive, all of your painting jobs too. I will try to join your ‘party’ if I think of something! ;)
I have a ‘cocktail’ that I am hoping to post on… maybe I can link that up in a day or two — when I get up the gumption to do the post that is!
    Best,

An acupuncturist should warn the patient that this could
happen and instruct them to breathe deeply into the area for a few minutes until the discomfort dissipates.
Description: This recall involves Creative Heating Solutions brand

Best of all, it features a sensitive flexing head designed to bend
to the contours of your face, resulting in a comfortable,
close shave. It is proven that an electric toothbrush is much
better to remove stains from coffee, cigarettes and tea than a manual toothbrush.
People using ordinary toothbrushes tend to brush
harder than those that use an electric toothbrush.

The experimentation to create a new taste is always in the offing to create
a market. The different culinary preparations are usually characterized by lots
of vegetables, pulses and spices. The best way to order a pizza is to use your cell phone.

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
