Decorchick!

Almost Have 200 Google Followers…You know what that means!!

Giveaway time!!  It seems like I just had the last one!  But I wanted to ask you all what you would like the chance to win during this giveaway?  I did a Hobby Lobby gift card last time, but since not everyone has a Hobby Lobby nearby, I want to offer something that everyone can use.  So, whatcha think?  Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s??   Give me your ideas, I’m all ears!

I won’t run this giveaway till a week or 2, so be thinking and let me know.  I’ll choose the most popular vote from y’alls comments. :)

Thank you again to all of you for reading my little blog.  Y’alls sweet comments and emails really bless me. :)

On a different note, I’m ready for Fall!  Is that sad or what?  Seeing all of the pretty decorations out at Hobby Lobby already is really giving me the Fall itch. :)

xxoo,

Decorchick!

I like any and all, but Hob Lob is my favorite. Well, maybe Michael’s, too! (: I really enjoy reading your blog and it sounds like you are having fun with it, too!

    Hobby Lobby!

I saw all the fall stuff too. I’m not ready for it. Fall stuff just means that summer is getting closer to being over and that means SCHOOL. Not ready!

Congrats! Target is always good and I think there are a lot of them around but have you considered giving away something that you make yourself that has made your blog so popular? Such as a painted pot? Just a suggestion.

Emily you are very kind to have another giveaway! They are all wonderful stores. I wish we had a Hobby Lobby in our town. I have never been shopping at one yet. Sigh.

    Have a good weekend.

How about listing the places you would purchase a gift card at and have the winner decide which one they might like?

If it were me I’d choose Hobby Lobby except we don’t have one within 3,000 miles of us. I couldn’t decide which card I’d like if that wasn’t the option….probably Lowes.

    Blessings,

Hobby Lobby has an online store and you can use their coupons online as well. I would also think a Lowe’s card would be nice ;)

Congratulations! You are already over 200!!!! I am sure you are very excited. As for the give-away, a Michael’s card would be nice, and I say that because I have never been to a Michael’s store! I have one near me, but have never gone. This would give me an excuse to go, plus then I can post all of the goodies I got from your card on my blog! Again, congrats on all of your followers!
    Best regards,

…add one more to the total! I made 211! Congratulations!

Personally I have to leave town to go to any of them but Lowe’s, but I don’t mind. I think the idea of “winner’s choice” is good if it’s something you’re going to buy out of pocket.

    Congratulations hun!

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
