It’s no secret if you’ve been a reader of mine that I love beauty products. Like, might have a slight addiction to them. I love skincare and makeup, and I have way too much in my arsenal for this lifetime, but that’s beside the point. :) I’m going to show you all a struggle I had a few months ago with my face and some troublesome spots, and let you in on the best kept little secret for your face!

My friend (hey Heather!) introduced me to this Essential Beauty Serum. Now, keep in mind I’ve been using Young Living products 2 1/2 years now, and never had tried this! In fact, if I’m being totally honest, I knew nothing about this product, as it is not talked about often. It definitely does not get the attention it deserves! Which is a shame, but I want to change that and let the world know all about it!
So I was texting with Heather one night complaining about my face and even sent her a few pics. The ones I’m about to show you.
My cheeks were rough and bumpy. And I couldn’t stop picking at them, which yes I know, is the worst thing you can possibly do. But I’m human and I’m a picker.
She immediately told me to get this serum, so I did and had it expressed shipped. I was desperate!
I don’t know why my face was freaking out all of a sudden. I hadn’t really changed anything drastically in my diet or my beauty routine, and for the most part, I usually have pretty decent skin.
After a week of using, I noticed an improvement. After 2 weeks my face was practically cleared up. And here it is 2 months later, because I wanted to really use this a decent amount of time before writing a post about it, so I could be sure. But y’all I am 100% sure.
Those before photos were taken February 20, and the next afters were taken yesterday, so it’s been a good solid 2 months of straight usage.
Those are bare-face photos which I am sure you can tell. ;) I do have some sun spots, and some spots where I’m left with some scars from picking so much, but overall, I am thrilled with how it is now, compared to what it was!
The texture of my skin now is much more smooth, and definitely hydrated since this beauty serum is great for adding moisture. That is one thing I was lacking.
How do I use this:
- You can apply the serum (which is like an oil consistency) or spot treat directly on the face. I have done that before, but I prefer to add 3 drops to my daily moisturizer, and to my evening night cream. I have been loving the Young Living Sandalwood cream mixed with this at night.
Now that it is getting pretty hot outside here in Texas, I don’t apply much, if any makeup before I go to the gym. I pretty much just put on my moisturizer and mix in the beauty serum and apply on my face (I like to pat it in really well), and some eye cream, and that’s it. My face looks and feels dewy and hydrated! And when I DO actually put on a full face of makeup, I think it applies really well over it too.
I was able to attend the Young Living Beauty School earlier this month, and it was a BLAST and we learned so much about skincare, and how it’s so important to choose the right products to put on the largest organ of your body! So many companies out there fill their products with synthetic ingredients which are filled with toxins, so it’s super important to check your labels!
I use a lot of YL products obviously, but not all of the skincare works for me. But that’s ok, because there are many different skincare products to choose from, it may just take a few tries. It’s definitely worth it to me to do that, so I know I am putting the best on my skin. With that said, I also love SO many of their skincare products, so I always want to try and use them all! But sometimes with something as your skin which can be finicky, it’s best to keep it simple and add new things in slowly. And the beauty serum will always be in the daily ritual I can guarantee it. :)
