Family Update

So, I had every intention to show you all a decor post today. Had the topic all ready and everything. But then I started looking at pictures on my computer and realized that I haven’t shown off my girls lately, or my hubby. I really miss doing my monthly baby updates when I had Ellie! And well, she isn’t such a baby anymore…

Ellie-Marie

She is a little stinker y’all. A cute one, but a stinker. Very, very different than Emma. Haha. But Ellie will turn 2 in July!

And here’s my sweet Emma, who will turn FIVE in July.

Hunting-Eggs

Obviously these are Easter pics from last month, which I also intended to show you all sooner, rather than in May.

Ellie-Easter

I got their dresses on a great sale that Macy’s had. Love Macy’s for girl’s dresses!

And here’s a little family photo…

Easter-Family-Photo

Yes, my hair is ridiculously long. It’s even longer now that we’re in May. :)

So I’m sorry if a little family post disappointed you all since I didn’t have a project up this week. But hey, I can’t talk about decorating every day. There are other things that are more important to me these days. That’s life right? :)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and I will see you on Monday, hopefully with a few new office tweaks. :)

xxoo,

What a wonderful post, especially right before Mothers Day. You’re daughter’s are A-dorable and what a great family pic. Have a Super Mothers Day and enjoy them, because before you know it they’ll be 16, dating and driving. :(

Miss Em…your two littles are so precious. Hard to believe that baby will be two. Time flies.

I spent the day with my son and grandson since they will be spending tomorrow’s Mother’s Day with my DIL’s
family. He is 14-months already and I’m amazed how quick he changes from one time to the other.

    Happy Mother’s Day. :)

2 labradoodle puppies were NOT on my 2026 vision board, but here we are.🥰

How could you NOT with these gorgeous colorings?! A red and blue Merle are so unique, and they are the sweetest!🐶🐶

It was my first time going with Randy to one of hi It was my first time going with Randy to one of his gigs. This wasn’t just any gig though. It was a very special wedding for a beautiful couple.❤️

And after witnessing firsthand what all he does for events like this, I have a new appreciation for what he does because it is a LOT.🤯

From loading in setting up three PA systems in 3 separate areas, then immediately switching gears to performance mode and playing ceremony music + sax, dinner music + MC’ing, then reception DJ’ing + sax. It was really pretty freaking mind-blowing to be honest. And then you have to tear it all down! Talk about a full day (I felt hungover the next day and I don’t even drink), but if you are in the entertainment business you get it. And he does this multiple times a month!

So many moving parts, and being flexible when you need to switch gears at the last minute, and he handles it with so much ease. That’s why he’s the professional at his craft.🫶

I was just there more as his emotional support person, but would love to do more events with him where I’m actually useful. 🤪Maybe I’ll learn to wrap up cords the right way one day to his liking, but that’s doubtful. 🤣

It was the perfect new year’s day and can’t wait to do it again!❤️

Congrats @claudine.said and @chefaustinsimmons it was a JOY witnessing your special day.

3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔 Does life mo 3 years without Daddy and Pawpaw💔

Does life move on?

Yes, but not without a hazy fog lingering over you that never fully lifts.

Not without the deep ache in your heart longing for more time.

Not without reaching for your phone wanting to call or text.

Not without the family gatherings knowing someone is missing, even though no one mentions it.

Not without crying when you think of him or look at old photos.

I still cannot talk about him without tearing up. Certain songs or sayings break me.

After losing a parent, everything looks different. Time with your family begins to feel more intentional, because you want the moments to last.

The hustle feels less important, because you realize your people matter more than any dollar amount.

Grief and gratitude can coexist. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to be thankful for a dad who is worth missing.❤️
