Wheeeeeeee!! I’m so thrilled to be able to give another Silhouette SD machine to one of you lucky readers! The Silhouette team is SO kind and generous and it really is a pleasure to work with them. Their product really does live up to all of the hype!
AND GUESS WHAT?? The Silhouette machine cuts fabric now!!
The Silhouette team sent out the new fabric interfacing kit to try out, and let me tell you, it was SO easy to do. It came with very clear directions too–something I definitely need. :) And for those of you that already have a machine, you don’t need any special blades or anything. All you need is the new fabric interfacing (clean cut or sewable). Easy peasy!
And in just about 5 minutes I had these little cuties cut out…
Yes, they are birds. :) I downloaded them from Silhouette’s online store. I probably should have used a fabric that wasn’t a pattern, but oh well, they are still cute!
All I did was put the fabric on the heavy cutting mat after following the instructions using the clean cut interfacing…
Then loaded it in my Silhouette machine with the settings set at 3 for speed, and 33 for thickness, then it cut them out.
It worked perfectly!
So now that I had the little birdies, I decided to make a little Spring sign. I cut out the letters on cardstock using the machine of course, and glued everything down with a glue stick. But of course with the fabric birdies, I could have ironed them on something or even sewed them onto something. Lots of possibilities!
This is the sign I came up with.
Cute cute! The “welcome spring” sign was downloaded from Silhouette’s online store for .99.

I am CRAAAAAAAAAZY excited to enter! I’ve been following a BUNCH of blogs that use these and I have to say…there are quite a few projects on my list. I love using it to create a FABULOUS wall effect in the kids play room. I could organize the pantry using fun labels, I could organize the mud room creating specific areas for each child….I could basically organize my life! How great would that be, with 4 kids…..it gets pretty messy around here, hahaha

Wow! I just heard about your site through a friend. I lost my creative edge about 3 years ago, it is starting to come back. Now I am in love with the idea of the Silhouette! I can’t wait to get one (hopefully I don’t have to wait too long). FUN!!!

My girlfriend and I have been talking about purchasing one to share. We would be soooo excited to win this and start “crafting”! We both work now and miss being creative so we have turned to blogs to feed off of others creativity. If we could just create something new for our homes and family it would make two girls who love to create new things happy little campers.
