Where the Magic Happens

Oh, get your mind out of the gutter! :) I am talking about our home office that we recently made over, a/k/a the mom cave, and now where the blogging magic happens.

I sure don’t miss our old dining room!

This room is special to me because it’s calming, quiet, and everything is organized and clutter free.  I function well under those circumstances. :) It’s where I sit and write my blog posts now and connect with all of you. It’s nice sitting in a real chair blogging, rather than having a sore neck and back from slouching on the couch!  Although, I still do that too sometimes.  I also pay our now organized bills, and just daydream in this room. :)

Here is me trying to work in my new space knowing that my husband is taking pictures. That was strange…

And of course it wouldn’t be a mom cave without this little goober.

Even though it would be cool to have a real “cave” I could escape to, to where no interruptions exist, I enjoy her “interruptions” and am inspired by her daily.  If I find a few stray dolls, balls, cookie crumbs, or even banana remnants rubbed on the curtains in here, it’s ok…it’s our cave.

    Very nice ;) I just love your room and I so hear you on giving up the dinning room…we have down-sized and have a combo dining/living room and we never used the table…so I coverted it to my studio. Best thing I ever did. Good luck in the giveaway, fondly, Roberta

    I have just recently found your blog and was inspired by the dining room re-do. I had your page open this weekend showing my husband and this morning decided to refresh it to see what was new. And there it is again…the mom cave…I LOVE it. We have a man cave of sorts right across the hall, so I know mine will be coming soon.

    Mom Cave, I need to get me one of those : ) My office is in a loft above our family room and it can get loud and HOT up there, haha. Heat rises! This is simply gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love your home office/”girl cave” Your desk almost looks like the one my DH has that is solid cherry by Hooker..It is so heavy, even the movers complained about having to move it and i think it took about 4 strong moving guys. What kind of laptop is that, never seen a white one. So you use your keyboard instead of the one on the laptop? Where do you have your printer hooked up? I’ve been thinking about buying a laptop but know nothing about them. I’m not computer savy and I use my computer for emails, typing letters and etc. I don’t know how to do much with it. Need to find somebody that can teach me and come to the house and sit down beside me and in layman’s language. I love the bookcase with lights behind the desk and the walls(moldings) That really adds to the elegance of the room.
