Shaklee Review, and a Giveaway!

*This giveaway is now closed*

I am SUPER excited about this review AND giveaway, because it has changed my life and I know it can change yours too.  I was so excited when Bonnie from Donahue Wellness asked me if I would like to review some Shaklee Get Clean products.  She is a sponsor on my site because I totally believe in the product she sells.  The review I am about to give is 100% my opinion.  And to be honest, I had never heard of Shaklee until I started seeing them all over blogs, and each time Bonnie would talk about Shaklee on her blog, House of Grace, I was intrigued.  And Shaklee has been around over 50 years now!  Helloooo, where have I been??

Shaklee sells nutrition, weight, beauty, and household items.  They are all natural products, and the household products contain NO toxins, which is very important to me with a little toddler running around.  I am very proud to say I am a “green” cleaner now. :)  I would always do my cleaning with some sort of cleaner that contained bleach, therefore I’d have to clean during naps or when my daughter went to bed.  But now, I can freely clean at any time of the day and not worry about her inhaling harmful fumes or getting something toxic in her mouth.  It’s really refreshing. And don’t think that because a cleaner doesn’t have bleach it doesn’t work.  Trust me, Shaklee works!

Bonnie sent me several items to review and I love them all. Seriously.  The Basic H2 is a powerful cleaning concentrate that you can use to clean anything.  It’s so easy to use and a bottle of this will last FOREVER.  You use the Basic H2 to mix your bottles of cleaner for regular all-purpose cleaning, degreasing, and window cleaner.  Bonnie sent me 3 different empty bottles for these that you can find here.  So cute, you must have them. :)  Although I love ALL of the Get Clean products, I think my favorite product so far is the Scour Off heavy duty paste.  I’ll show you the transformation in a bit with that little miracle in a jar.  I also used the dish wash concentrate and the dishwasher automatic concentrate and both got our dishes extremely clean and sparkly.  And what a great feeling knowing that no toxic chemicals are getting all over our dishes and silverware!  Woohooo!

Let me get to my review now and then the giveaway.  *WARNING* The pictures you will see in my review are totally and utterly disgusting.  I promise I do clean our home.  So please don’t stop reading my blog because you think we are filthy pigs.  Thanks.

So first up let me show you our kitchen sink before…

And after using Basic H2 for all-purpose cleaning…

What a difference right?  All of those hard water spots came right up with no problem. It looks like I polished the sink or something, but I didn’t.

This is the bottle of the Basic H2 concentrate that you dilute with water.

Now the microwave.  Please don’t judge.  Before…

And after.

I used the degreaser (Basic H2 mixed with water) to clean the microwave and it was awesome.  Didn’t even have to scrub anything.

Now the stove.  I also used the degreaser for this and it worked like a charm!  My before is so gross, I apologize.  I think people secretly get a satisfaction of seeing other people with dirty things in their house.  It reminds them they are normal right?

Umm yea.

And after.

Ta-da!  So fun.  I really was enjoying cleaning.  I don’t really mind it to begin with, but when you get something new and so simple to use, and don’t have to read a thousand instructions and warnings, it’s a breath of fresh air to clean.  You clean with a little pep in your step. :)

Okay, I saved my favorite for last.  My oven.  Gosh, how embarrassing this is.  I know it’s horrific.  I really didn’t know how bad the door was.  But the positive side is that it shows you that I actually cook right? :)

Before…

EWWWW!!!

And to clean the oven, I used the Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste.  This stuff is incredible and I believe it will clean anything! Here’s the after.

Ahh, it’s like having a new oven!  The trick to using the paste is to make sure you use it with enough water on your sponge like it says…

Then it’s perfect. :)

I also am in LOVE with the window and mirror cleaner and the microfiber cloth.  NO STREAKS at all!  It’s amazing. And again, you just use your Basic H2 again and mix the right amount with 16oz of water .  So cool!

I hope y’all are still with me.  I know this is a lengthy review, but it’s a lot of important information I am trying to share with you about the Get Clean products.  It really can be life changing for you and your family.

Now I know I showed you everything that I cleaned in our kitchen, but these products aren’t just for the kitchen.  They are to replace basically every cleaner you use for your entire house. I have cleaned our bathrooms, cabinets, and dusted the entire house using these products.  Love them!

There is a Get Clean starter kit that is fabulous, and you can even become a member of Shaklee here.  With the membership you will get 15% off every order you place through Bonnie’s website.  Yea!!  And if you email Bonnie (donahuewellness@hotmail.com), you will get a new member special so don’t forget to do that!

Okay, NOW for the giveaway!

Bonnie is graciously offering 10, yes TEN readers a sample of the Basic H2!  Each sample will make 2 bottles of powerful cleaner when diluted with 16oz of water.  That’s a lot of cleaning you can accomplish.

To enter to win you can do the following (remember the more times you enter, the better your chances are):

1. Leave a comment and let me know you have a dirty oven or microwave also. ;)

2. Visit Bonnie’s Shaklee site and let us know which cleaning product you would love to try.

3. Become a follower of Bonnie’s blog, or if you already follow let me know.

4. Become a follower of my blog, and if you already follow let me know.

Don’t forget to leave a separate comment for each thing you do.  I will run this giveaway through Saturday, October 9, 2010 and will announce the 10 lucky winners then.

Thank you everyone!  Good luck and happy cleaning! :)

Okay, so I don’t want to enter the giveaway because I already have a bottle of Basic H2 (and all the other stuff) and I LOVE IT!!!! I just wanted to help nudge the rest of you along that this stuff is for real, and everything DecorChick has to say is true, and then some. Also, H2 is AWESOME on wood floors! It doesn’t leave any residue behind. I love the laundry products too! Shaklee is amazing, and you should take advantage of the giveaway offer and enter to win! DecorChick doesn’t know me, so you can be assured that my opinion is totally independent, but completely agreeable with her!

Dirty is not the word for our ovens (we have the stacking double oven) and both are hideous. The microwave fairs a little better, but dirty nonetheless. I would love to try the Basic H2. Thanks for the opportunity!

I would LOVE to try the H2. I’m sick of having 30 cleaners for every different surface I clean. I’d love to try it on my wood floors. The cleaner I use always leaves a gross residue on them and my oven, let’s NOT even go there! Oh, and I’m a follower and a fan of your blog :)

Thanks! I particularly love the spray bottle with the butterfly on it – not sure which product it is, but I love the packaging! :-)

I would really love to try Shaklee because I don’t have a self cleaning oven and the traditional oven cleaners have a really bad odor (can’t be healthy for myself or family.) I visited Bonnie’s Shaklee site and would love to try the oven paste, or basic H2 to see if this stuff really works. I didn’t know much about Shaklee and looked at Bonnie’s favorites and I love anything that can remove stains from laundry. I believe it was called a laundry booster. With twin thirteen year old boys, I am constantly dealing with grass stains and every stain imaginable. I know you said one thing and I couldn’t pick.

Ha ha ha – as much as I hate to admit it – my mircrowave and oven are not as clean as I would like for them to be. I swear I don’t know how microwaves get so freakin’ grungy. They are my two least favorite appliances to have to clean. Yuck, yuck, yuck! So know that you are not alone in the dirty appliance department!

I just visited Bonnie’s website. WOW – these products are very interesting. I would love to see just how wonderful they work for myself. I have a 12yo boy that seems to have a reaction to just about everything (he’s had a rash for months now, that we can’t seem to make go away. I’ve changed everything). I’m thinking that maybe these products would be a help.

But….seriously? You want me to pick one? Just one?

I guess I would have to pick the laundry concentrate, although I would like to eventually try all of them. I’m all about not using chemicals, I swear they are slowly killing all of us – one way or another.

I’ve seen so many reviews for this and definitely want to give it a try. My oven is repulsive. It’s really old and has been in the apartment for so long that I’m not sure cleaning it will even work. Would love to give it a try with this though!

I can totally use this! I HATE cleaning my kitchen stove since it takes so much of my study time. I really could use this. Pick me, please!

I wear this daily to support ⚡️energy, 😴better sleep, less inflammation, healthy aging and SO much more— all without drugs or caffeine.

It uses light (aka phototherapy) to activate your body’s natural stem cells.💡Yep, it’s that cool.😎

Curious what it can do for you?

Getting stronger—inside and out!💪 I’m not Getting stronger—inside and out!💪

I’m not just building muscle—I’m building longevity.

There’s something powerful about moving heavy weight. It reminds me of what I’m capable of—not just physically, but mentally too.

Lifting weights isn’t just about aesthetics. For women, it’s essential. Here’s why:

1. It preserves bone density and helps prevent osteoporosis

💪As we age—especially post-menopause—our bone density naturally declines. Lifting weights helps slow or even reverse that loss, reducing the risk of fractures and improving long-term mobility.

2. It builds lean muscle and boosts metabolism

💪Muscle burns more calories at rest than fat, which means strength training supports fat loss and makes it easier to maintain a healthy weight without extreme dieting.

3. It reduces the risk of chronic diseases and supports long-term health

💪Lifting improves insulin sensitivity, lowers inflammation, and supports heart and brain health—helping reduce your risk of conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and cognitive decline.

If you’ve been thinking about starting your own strength journey—this is your sign. It’s never too late, and you don’t have to be perfect—just consistent.☺️

What’s something you’ve done lately that made you feel strong? Drop it below—I wanna cheer you on!🎉

6 years without alcohol. Honestly… still one of 6 years without alcohol.

Honestly… still one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.☺️

Not because I hit some big rock bottom. But because I wanted more — more peace, more clarity, more freedom to not let wine-o-clock dictate my life.🍷

Saying no to alcohol has allowed me to say YES to so many other things:

👫Deep, honest relationships
☀️Early mornings without regret
💕Trusting myself fully
🥹Feeling everything, numbing nothing
🙏And being so at peace in my own skin

If you’re sober, sober curious, or even just thinking about your relationship with alcohol — I’d love to hear your story. Share it in the comments or send me a message. You’re not alone!

Here’s to living fully, feeling everything, and having the ultimate FREEDOM!🙌
