DIY Painted Coral Vanity

Coral Vanity 4

Hi guys hope you had a good weekend! The weather in Texas was gorgeous!! I was able to finally snap some pictures of our new master bathroom, and the coral painted vanity! I just love it!! The pop of color in there is so fun, and not overwhelming since I went neutral with the grey paint on the walls. Now come say hello to Coral Beauty.

I Painted Our Bathroom!

grey bathroom

I’m slowly but surely getting rid of the beige walls that are everywhere in our home, and I’ve pretty much succeeded in several of the rooms! I guess the only beige rooms left now are the bathrooms, and the upstairs hallway/catwalk. I haven’t done anything to our bathrooms until recently, and I finally painted ours!

Surprise! I Redid Our Master Bedroom Again! {Navy and Coral Bedroom}

Navy Bedroom

Yes you read that right. Let me tell you one more time in case you missed it…but I redid our bedroom again!! This makes #4 I think? There wasn’t anything wrong with the old room, but it was just lacking. Lacking life, lacking coziness, and lacking personality. I like the word lack today apparently. But once we got in the new upholstered bed, everything was just grey. Grey I love, but the grey walls, grey bed and grey curtains were just too much together. So now, here is a room I love. Our new navy and coral bedroom!

Our New White, Pink, and Grey Bedroom

Pink and grey room

Yes it’s true. Our master bedroom has undergone a few changes yet again.  When I started using the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint toward the end of last year, I couldn’t stop.  And I ended up painting all of our furniture in our bedroom white.  And then I decided to go pink and grey with the [...]

Oh Sweeeeeet Velvet {And Some Office Changes}

Velvet Curtains

Our home office hasn’t changed much at all since we converted the dining room almost a year ago (except for the new flooring). And being the crazy person that I am (because a year is entirely too long without changes), I was itching for just a few subtle updates. And now enters our sweet new [...]

The Breakfast Room Makeover

Overstock Chandelier

Hi everyone!  I started the breakfast room redo a few months ago (maybe more), and finally just finished it.  Hooray for several month long projects! ;) Here is the before, of when I redid it the last time… I got tired of the Tobacco Road and repainted the kitchen (Sherwin Williams Balanced Beige) to go [...]

A New House

New House

Well, not for us so don’t get too excited, although I’d happily take this house in a heartbeat. This is my Mom and Stepdad’s new house. Isn’t it beautiful?  They just moved in last Friday.  I’ll give you a little tour of the inside. The entryway: And it used to look like this when they [...]

The New Entry

Entry

It’s time to show how the entry way looks now after the new paint and with everything back up on the walls, so come on in! All of the accessories are pretty much the same, but the only new addition is that round mirror hanging on that little wall above. It’s my new favorite thing. [...]

Is Teal The New White? (And a Sneak Peek)

Behr Underwater Sample

When I started doing my stepson’s room, I knew what color I wanted in my head.  I didn’t want the standard boy blue, thought about doing navy, but then decided a dark teal would be pretty. And by the way, my stepson gave me free reign in his room as far as the paint color [...]

MDF Cutting

Thanks for all of the love on my stepson’s new paneled wall!  We just love it, and so does he! Ok, now on to the tutorial.  I have to give a special thanks to Rambling Renovators first and foremost for the inspiration behind this project.  If you haven’t checked out their paneled wall yet, you [...]

Kitchen Bar

I’ve been soooo excited to share this project with you all! It was SO easy, a quick project, and only $20 bucks! I love easy beadboard ideas, so let me introduce you to our new beadboard bar! I have been wanting to put up beadboard under our kitchen bar for quite a while.  Originally I [...]

Swatches on the Wall, Swatches on the Wall–Lookin Like a Fool With My Swatches on the Wall

Paint Swatches everywhere

*Insert big sigh while humming along to that little diddy* I started second guessing my decision on the Balanced Beige once I painted some bigger swatches of it. It wasn’t looking as warm as I’d like, and on some walls there was a faint blue tint when the sun would shine on it. I loved [...]

Say Buh-Bye To The Camel Walls

DSC_0225

Y’all may have noticed from some recent makeovers that I have been trying to slowly weed out my traditional red and gold decor, and have been adding some modern touches, yes?  I still do love the colors and have decorated with them ever since I moved out and got my first apartment.  But, I’m ready [...]

Master Bedroom Makeover (Again)

IMG_4621

I’m beyond excited to show you our new master bedroom…again!  I explained in this post why I decided to change it up again. But the biggest change in here was just paint.  Paint is your friend, and a cheap friend.  When I redid our master bedroom back in June last year, I did love that [...]

It All Started With This Duvet.

IMG_8624

I mentioned to you all that my Mom got us a new duvet for Christmas.  It was the one I have been dreaming of for several months now…the Organic Cotton Pintuck Duvet from West Elm. It looked so luxurious online, and it’s just as luxurious in real life. And since that was a night shot, [...]

A Dining Room Turned Office

IMG_5822

*Update–the office now has wood floors!* Dining rooms are so overrated right? :)  Since I had been wanting to redo the dining room for quite some time now, the hubby and I decided to turn it into an office.  Because in all honesty, the formal dining room was used as an actual dining room maybe [...]

Need a Good Chiropractor?

IMG_6663

I know this is a decorating blog, but this is a special post and calls for celebration.  So I hope you will celebrate with me!  My brother-in-law Greg just opened his own chiropractic office, Green Chiropractic.  His office is located in Houston, TX (at 43rd and Ella to be exact), and yesterday was the grand [...]

All You Wanted to Know About Gray Paint

photo

It’s a very tricky color.  I could end this post with just that line and that would give you enough information.  But, I won’t do that to you and will tell you another little paint journey I just had. Maybe I should rename this post “when bad things happen to good people.”  Because I am [...]

Tobacco Road Formula

IMG_6339

I’ve received a lot of emails asking for the Tobacco Road formula I used here and here, so I thought I’d post it for everyone to see. :) I don’t know if it’s a perfect match to Nester’s formula, but I think it’s pretty close.  I tried having it matched at Lowe’s several different times [...]

Multipurpose Room Progress: Board and Batten!

IMG_5840

To satisfy my love of all kinds of different styles and colors, I decided to do board and batten on the one big wall in our upstairs multipurpose room. :)  The upstairs will have a different vibe than the downstairs, and I think that’s so fun!  Probably a design rule no-no, but I don’t follow [...]

IMG_4328

*UPDATE* – This room has been redone again, so click here for the latest redo. :) Well our room is just about finished so I’m going to show it now.  :)  I know you probably want to see pictures first, but let me just talk a little bit…or a lot.  This will be a long [...]

The Difference Molding Can Make

IMG_0092

I love molding (moulding?).  I want it everywhere in our house.  Why don’t builders make it a standard feature instead of an upgrade?  I think the housing market would be much better if so.  :) I first added it to a big entry wall which also adjoins the family room.  Here is the wall before, [...]
